Springhead FC 1 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 3(1st game)

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 2 Springhead FC 1 (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: Sam Bruce

SPECIAL MENTION:

Ben Gillyon for playing well out of his usual postion, and for some excellent saves.

Ethan Gamble for some good passes and superb corner kicks.

Eddie Dodds showing some great defensive play in his first game back after a short break.

GOAL SCORERS:

1st Game Ethan Gamble, Ben McNamara, Sam Bruce

2nd Game OG, Sam Bruce (Penalty)

Due to holiday commitments, the Dynamos goalkeeper, Isaac Adnitt, was replaced by captain & midfielder Ben Gillyon. Both teams were evenly matched and all players contributed fully to this exciting, top of the table clash close to the end of the season.

1st Game

1st half: Early pressure from Springhead nearly paid off when Springhead striker was one on one with the keeper. Only a brave, close range save from Ben Gillyon prevented the home side taking the lead. The Dynamos defence did an excellent job in soaking up the pressure until things settled down and the game developed a more balanced feel. Eventual man of the match, Sam Bruce made a great pass from the midfield to Ethan Gamble who took his time and shot well ensuring that the Springhead keeper could only get a hand to it, to clinch the first goal of the game. Play quickly shifted to the other end of the field resulting in another great save from Ben Gillyon tipping the ball over before repeating his heroics from the resulting corner.

2nd half: Springhead evened the scores shortly after half time. However, the Dynamos were quickly back in front when, following excellent link up play with Ethan Gamble, the unending efforts of Sam Bruce paid off as he fired the ball into the back of the net. Despite this quick reply from the Dynamos, Springhead were not disheartened and put everything into getting back in the game. Their number 4 had a speculative long range shot saved by Ben Gillyon. Beverley made sure of all the points when an Ethan Gamble corner was met sweetly by the right foot of Ben Macnamara.

2nd Game

1st Half: Springhead shot from just inside the Dynamos half only to see a confident save from the Dynamos keeper. This was followed by a Springhead corner resulting in a real goal mouth scramble before Ben Gillyon again managed to secure the ball. The game was classic end to end before the Springhead number 4 hit the bar. This was closely followed by a goal from Springhead striker who gave Springhead a deserved lead.

2nd Half: Ethan Gamble had an excellent shot met by an excellent save early in the half. Springhead withstood early pressure from the Dynamos before another goal mouth scramble resulted in a Springhead own goal, which evened the scores to set up an exciting finish to the game. As the Dynamos increased the pressure, Springhead held on and it seemed as if the game was heading for a draw until Sam Bruce set off on a determined run down the left and into the box before being brought down by a Springhead player. From the resulting penalty, Sam Bruce made sure of the win and staked his unquestionable claim for the man of the match award.

Superb football this week Dynamos - WELL DONE!

Well done to all the Dynamos, we are at the top of the Group 4, Under 9's league this season - all your hard work has paid off and hope you have all had an enjoyable season.

(1st game) Cumbrian Tigers 0 - 4 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos

(2nd game) Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 3 - 2 Cumbrian Tigers

MAN OF THE MATCH: Ben Gillyon for scoring 4 great goals

SPECIAL MENTION: James Claxton for simply brilliant defensive display

GOAL SCORERS: 1st Game Sam Bruce, Ben Gillyon, Ethan Gamble (2)

                  2nd Game Ben Gillyon (3)

This week saw the Dynamos go to Cumbrian Tigers on the back of a Friday night game where we had played some excellent passing football but only came away with a 2-2 draw and a 1-0 defeat.

1st Game The Dynamos carried on with the fantastic possession football which saw them create a number of chances. First half goals from Sam Bruce, after a free kick taken over on the left side, from Ethan Gamble sent a lovely ball over towards the goal, Sam Bruce was there to put it away, not long after Ben Gillyon collected the

ball went on one of his now famous runs, he hit a long range strike, which saw us take 2-0 lead at half time. Dynamos continued to dominate the second half, both in attack and in defence with James Claxton in fantastic form at the back putting in some tough tackles and great headers. The second half saw 2 further goals from the lethal left foot of Ethan Gamble to give the Dynamos a 4-0 victory.

2nd Game Saw the Tigers come out fighting. A Dynamos early goal from Ben Gillyon was soon cancelled out from a great goal from the Tigers. A goal from a good Ethan Gamble corner by Ben Gillyon getting his second of the game giving the Dynamos 2-1 lead at half time. The second half saw the Dynamos tire, but James Claxton was again brilliant in defence to keep the Tigers out. Ben Gillyon scored his forth of the day but his third in this game to give the Dynamos the comfort of a 3-1 lead. The Tigers tested the Dynamos defence and brought some good saves from Isaac Adnitt, only for him to be beaten by a easily saveable shot to give the Dynamos a nervous finale. The final score was 3-2 to the Dynamos. Well done boy's again for great football in both games.

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 0 Tickton Wizards 0  (Ist game)

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 1 Tickton Wizards 5  (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: JAMES CLAXTON

SPECIAL MENTION: SAM BRUCE

GOAL SCORERS: BEN GILLYON

The Dynamos played well again this week showing a marked improvement from their first game three weeks ago. They were able to hold the Tickton Wizards to a 0-0 draw in the first game, a team who are well established and so far unbeaten in Group 2,

Under 8's. Isaac Adnitt and Thomas Newton made some great saves in both games against some good strikers. Ben McNamara, James Claxton & Edward Dodds played excellently in defence never giving in and nearly always maintaining possession.

In the second game, we let our guard down a little bit which resulted in the Dynamos conceding some goals. I believe that more match experience resulting in more self belief and confidence will enable the Dynamos to ensure that this does not happen very often. The Dynamos came back more determined in the second half with a great goal from Ben Gillyon and the score in the second game does not give the Dynamos justice.

Man of the Match to James Claxton because he showed a marked improvement on last week, sheer determination in getting the ball from the strikers and never giving up.

Special Mention to Sam Bruce who is improving week after week working solidly in the midfield, dribbling and passing the ball well to provide the opportunities for the strikers up front.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

AFC Preston 1  0 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos (1st game)

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 1  3 AFC Preston (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: Edward Chappell

SPECIAL MENTION: Ben Gillyon, Ben McNamara

GOAL SCORERS:         1st Game

                                    2nd Game Ben Gillyon

1st Game:

The Dynamos travelled out to Preston this week. Riding high on the back of an unbeaten run of games the Dynamos were brought down to earth with a bump by a strong Preston side who took their chances well.  The first games saw Dynamos start positively and make the most of a large pitch by passing the ball well in midfield and looking strong in defence, with Ben McNamara and Edward Chappell looking in control. However we failed to hit the target with a number of good chances made from a combination of good crosses and corners. As the game went on Preston grew in confidence and took the lead when the Dynamos failed to deal with a corner properly and the ball was fired in from an angle at the near post. Dynamos rallied and again created more chances to score but failed to make them count as they lost the first game 1-0.

2nd Game:

The second game saw some changes in positions but it got off to a bad start as the Dynamos watched Preston walk the ball into the net in the first 10 seconds. Dynamos cleared their heads and fought back into the game, again creating good chances from midfield. However, the ball just would not go in, even after some more excellent corners and crosses from wide by Ethan Gamble and Ben Gillyon. As the second half went on Dynamos pushed more players forward to try to get something from the game, but conceded two more quick goal as Preston took advantage on a fast break for their second goal and benefitted from a deflected shot into the top corner for the third. Despite getting tired due to no substitutes being available the Dynamos fought back and got a goal they deserved as Ben Gillyon drove the ball home after yet another good attack. One of those games where the score and the result do not do justice to the effort and good football we played well done and heads up for next week!

Man of the match was Edward Chappell

Special mentions go to Ben Gillyon and Ben McNamara for constant battling.

Hornsea Sporting FC  0 - 3 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: Owen Goff

SPECIAL MENTION: Sam Bruce, Ben McNamara

GOAL SCORERS:         1st Game Sam Bruce

2nd Game Owen Goff 2 og 1

Well done to all the boys for there all-round performance playing as a team and  keeping their unbeaten record.

1st Game:

This weeks fixture against Hornsea got off to a slow start as the Dynamos struggled with the shock of the clocks going forward! In the first few minutes Hornsea were

first to the ball and seemed to win every tackle as they made the dynamos work hard in defense. One by one the Dynamos seemed to wake up and they started to play their

usual good passing game. The Dynamos took the lead as Sam Bruce controlled a fine ball from Edward Chapel and volleyed it home - almost breaking the net! Dynamos held

on until half time but in the second half the tide turned and Hornsea came back strongly, equalizing mid-way. Final score 1-1

2nd Game

In the second game Dynamos took control early and started to play their best football of the season. A string of great corners by Ethan Gamble and Ben Gillyon put

Hornsea under pressure and eventually Owen Goff forced the ball home! Another great corner resulted in the Hornsea defense putting a ball into their own net. In the

second half Dynamos continued to dominate and a good performance was capped off by a brilliant team goal from Owen Goff which came from a great passing move involving Ben MacNamara and Ben Gillyon. Final score 3-0

Man of the match was Owen Goff.

Special mentions go to Sam Bruce and Ben McNamara and all-round great team play which was highlighted by the superb final goal.

East Riding Rangers 0 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 0 (Ist game)

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 1 East Riding Rangers 0 (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: Sam Bruce

SPECIAL MENTION: Isaac Adnitt, Thomas Richardson Ben Gillyon

GOAL SCORERS: 2nd Game Ben Gillyon

Well done to all the boys for there all-round performance playing as a team for keeping your third clean sheet.

1st Game:

The match got off to a flying start, due to dry conditions, playing on a fast pitch the ball was bouncing as if it was on a indoor pitch. The Dynamos were on top in the first half creating a lot of chances including opportunities for Ben Gillyon and Thomas Richardson. The Dynamos always looked solid in defence with joint efforts of Sam Bruce and Ben McNamara making some strong tackles. However, despite more good chances in the second half the Dynamos failed to get the ball in the net, this enabled East Riding Rangers to grow in confidence on a couple of occasions caught Dynamos on the counter attack as the game went on. A great save from Isaac Adnitt meant the Dynamos finished with a 0-0 draw.

2nd Game

Yet again the Dynamos started strongly in this second game, we made a couple of tactical changes moving Sam Bruce into striker. Dynamos enjoyed a lot of possession in the midfield. Ben Gillyon, Owen Goff and Ethan Gamble kept the ball on the floor, enabling us to play some lovely passing football. A strong Rangers defence kept the Dynamos at bay until Sam Bruce picked up the ball and went on his regular dribbling runs beating a couple of Rangers players on the left, he crossed the ball into Ben Gillyon to send it home with a left footed shot. In the second half Rangers pressed for an equalizer and only a superb goal-line clearance by Sam Bruce meant the Dynamos deservedly took the 3 points.

Man of the Match to Sam Bruce for his constant hard work in defence as well as playing his part in the attack.

Special Mention to Isaac Adnitt his two more clean sheets, Ben Gillyon for his all-round effort and Thomas Richardson for his tackling, chasing back also much improve play.

GRS Lions  0 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 2

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 2 GRS Lions 0

MAN OF THE MATCH: Isaac Newton

SPECIAL MENTION: Edward Chappell, Ben Gillyon

GOAL SCORERS:   1ST GAME - Ben Gillyon 2,

2ND GAME - Ethan Gamble, Ben Gillyon

The Dynamos had a good game today, found it difficult to play there usual game as they seem to run out of pitch, it was smaller then what we used to.

1st Game:

On a small tight pitch Dynamos found a determined GRS team hard to break down in the first half, despite Dynamos having the upper hand and most of the possession.

Good work from Owen Goff, Ben Gillyon and Sam Bruce in midfield meant we pinned GRS into their own half. Mid way through the first half Ben Gillyon collected the ball

went on a run he was able to look up saw he had a chance, launched an excellent long range shot, beating GRS PUTTING US 1-0 up, after missing a number of close range chances.

However GRS grew in confidence and nearly caught us on the break a couple of times forcing Isaac Adnitt into action for the first time in the game, as we'd pushed too

many players forward, heading to half time. In the second half Dynamos settled down and played there usual game of more organised football, especially in defence with

James Claxton and Ben MacNamara being very solid keeping GRS well away from the Dynamos goal. Mid way through the second half Ben Gillyon unleashed another great strike

giving him and Dynamos there second goal, despite all the possession we were unable to extend our lead. The final score been 2-0.

2nd Game

In the second game we switched a few things round, playing Ben MacNamara as striker Edward Chappell and James Claxton continued the great defence work. Missed chances again

frustrated the Dynamos and there traveling supporters until Ethan Gamble controlled the ball on the edge of the box, he struck a shot that went in off the post. GRS

rallied and came back stronger looking for an equaliser, forced Isaac Adnitt into action a couple of times, including  a spectacular save to tip away a fantastic volley from

from GRS striker.

In the second half the Dynamos gained confidence, giving us more control of the match forcing a string of corners but the GRS defence dug in and kept us out until a

good piece of play from Ben MacNamara saw his goal bound shot finished off on the line by Ben Gillyon. Dynamos upped the pressure to no avail, the second game also finishing

2-0. Well done Dynamos for your continued winning and clean sheets.(no Goals)

Man of the Match to Isaac Adnitt, Although he didn’t have a lot to do but when he did he was very safe and confident, also well done for not conceding goals.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Thomas Richardson

SPECIAL MENTION: Ben McNamara

GOAL SCORERS:

1ST GAME - BEN GILLYON 2,ETHAN GAMBLE 2, OWEN GOFF 1

2ND GAME - BEN McNAMARA 3, BEN GILLYON 2,SAM BRUCE 1

The Dynamos had a good game today against a team that weren't as organised as we are, which enabled them to play some good passing football.

1st Game:

Dynamos got off to a slow start, we were unable to play the passing game that we've come accustomed to, as soon as we got the ball we were surrounded by a number of opposition players. However we gradually became patient and passed it around the opposition enabling us to create a number of good chances in the first half but failing to score. Thomas Richardson had a great half up front as a striker creating a few chances, Owen Goff played some intelligent football, using his pace on the right very well. In the second half we started more positive, later we introduced Ben Gillyon making an instant impact, he went on one of his runs passing the ball to Ethan Gamble in space, with his favourite left foot let one go into the top corner. The Dynamos confidence then grew with Ethan scoring his second, from a corner Owen Goff scoring one, not long after Ben Gillyon putting in two. Sam Bruce and Ben McNamara had a great game in defence preventing the opposition to create any shooting chances.

2nd Game

The Dynamos started alot stronger, dominating and playing very attractive football against a hard working but tiring opposition. We had a reshuffle trying players in different positions giving Ben McNamara a chance to play up front as striker, he took his opportunities well scoring a hat trick that included a brilliant chip over the keeper Ben Gillyon as in the first game had a couple of good runs resulting in scoring two more goals, to end a good first game for the Dynamos, Sam Bruce made the total six in this game.

After the Christmas break the Dynamos had a good start to the second phase, eventually playing some attractive football, with good holding up of the ball, allowing players to get in scoring positions. Well done boys keep it up, the training sessions is starting to pay off.

Man of the Match to Thomas Richardson for his hard work up front in the first game, and defence work in the second game

Special Mention to Ben McNamara for his hard work in defence in the first game, not letting the opposition in, also his determination and well deserved hat-trick in game two.

GOAL SCORERS:         1ST GAME -

                                    2ND GAME -

This week saw the Dynamos face Driffield Warriors at home on a muddy and boggy pitch.

1st Game:

In the first game Driffield started strongly and nearly scored with two good chances as the Dynamos took time to adjust to the conditions. However James Claxton and

Edward Chappell showed a good understanding in defence and Ben Gillyon and Owen Goff worked very hard in midfield to get us back in the game. However at the start of

the second half Driffield took advantage of the ball being given away in midfield and broke forward to score. As the second half went on the Dynamos battled their way

back into the game and both Sam Bruce and Ethan Gamble had chances but were unable to make them count. Driffield remained very dangerous on the break and Edward

Chappell, James Claxton and Isaac Adnitt had to be at their best in defence and goal to keep the game within reach. Despite great pressure at the end the Dynamos were

unable to score.

2nd Game

In the second game we started brightly but went behind early on to a well taken goal. Ben McNamara came on for the second game and showed great strength, running and

tackling after being unavailable for a few weeks. As always we played good football and never got the lucky break or the goal that we deserved. All the boys today

showed great spirit and fought hard in difficult conditions and should be proud of their efforts.

Well Done Dynamos!

For next week the boys need to work on getting their shots away early and putting the defence under pressure by closing them down more quickly

Man of the Match to Edward Chappell for a strong defensive display where he was often the last defender making important covering tackles.

Special Mention to Ben Gillyon for non stop running and battling in the mud in midfield.

Special Mention to James Claxton for an excellent performance in defence and some brilliant defensive heading.

Special Mention to Ben McNamara for a good strong return to the team.

Withernsea AFC 1 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 1 (Ist game)

Withernsea AFC 1 Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 0 (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: BEN GILLYON

SPECIAL MENTION: EDWARD DODDS, EDWARD CHAPPELL

GOAL SCORERS:      1ST GAME - BEN GILLYON

                                 2ND GAME -

The Dynamos had a good game today against a well matched Withernsea AFC. An unfortunate late goal by Withernsea in the last game denied the Dynamos a well deserved drawin both games.

1st Game:

Withernsea AFC started off the stronger team today putting pressure on the Dynamos. The Dynamos got into their stride quickly and responded well. It was a very tight first game as both sides played well and both sides had opportunities to score. Owen Goff, Ben Gillyon and Ethan Gamble combined well in the midfield laying on some balls and creating chances for Sam Bruce up front. Both Edward Dodds and Edward Chappell worked well together to provide a solid defence and Isaac Adnitt yet again made some fantastic saves coming out on a number of occassions. Withernsea AFC were the first to score following a scramble in defence but Ben Gillyon was quick equalise with a fantastic goal off a free kick.

2nd Game

The Dynamos started off the stronger team in the second game applying pressure from the outset. Both Sam Bruce and Ben Gillyon were unlucky as they both hit the post and James Claxton coming on in the second game made a valuable contribution in the midfield. Withernsea came back and both Edward Dodds and Edward chappell worked hard in defence never giving up the fight. The Dynamos were unlucky to concede a late goal with just 30 seconds to go which denied them a well deserved draw.

The Dynamos played well overall today and there was some great passing again particularly from the midfield. In preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will continue to focus on playing in their positions, to work on their passing and the need to get back and defend when required.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Ben Gillyon for a great game today and for an excellent goal scored off a free kick.

Special Mention to Edward Dodds and Edward Chappell for their very impressive defensive play today and for never giving up the fight.

SPECIAL MENTION: BEN GILLYON, EDWARD CHAPPELL

GOAL SCORERS:         1ST GAME -

2ND GAME -

The Dynamos started off well today and gave a great performance but were unable to maintain their winning streak as in the last few games.

1st Game:

Longhill Ravens started off strong today putting pressure on the Dynamos. The Dynamos responded and were able to contain them particularly with the help of a great save from Isaac Adnitt. As the Dynamos got into their stride and worked hard in the midfield, there were some opportunities to score but they failed to make the most of their chances. Although the Dynamos had the majority of the possession in the second half, it was end to end play, and neither side were able to score.

2nd Game

Longhill Ravens came out strong in the second game and an early goal was avoided by yet another great save from Isaac Adnitt on the line. The Loghill Ravens striker was, however, able to score two goals against the Dynamos in the first half as the Dynamos lost their shape and struggled to play in their positions. Isaac Adnitt was able to prevent a third goal by saving a penalty and the rebound. Josh Moore also played well again today after coming on for the second game as he did last week. The

Dynamos fought back and there was a couple of near misses from Sam Bruce and Ben Gillyon.

The Dynamos played well overall today and there was some great passing again particularly from the midfield. In preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will continue to focus on playing in their positions, the need to get back and defend when required and to release the ball to others who are in a better position to score.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Isaac Adnitt for his excellent goalkeeping and particularly for anticipating well and knowing when to come off his line.

Special Mention to Ben Gillyon who worked hard today in the midfield and was denied a goal when he hit the cross bar.

Special Mention to Edward Chappell who defended well today and adapted well to a change in the second game where he played in the midfield.

The Dynamos had another great day today with a win in both games. They are growing in confidence with each game playing with fight and determination.

1st Game:

The Dynamos played well from the outset, passing the ball well and pushing the other team hard from the outset. The Dynamos had several opportunities to score with the majority of the very long first half being played in the other teams half of the pitch. Owen Goff's excellent work on the right wing was paid off with the Dynamos opening goal and his first for the team. Ben Gillyon was quick to follow with the second goal. The home team got into the game and came back in the second half to equalise. The Dynamos were able to contain the home team with some great defense play from Edward Dodds and Edward Chappell and some excellent goalkeeping again from Isaac Adnitt. The Dynamos fought back and was able to seal a win in the first game by a great goal from Sam Bruce.

2nd Game

The second game was more evenly matched and the home team opened the scoring. We saw some great passing play from the Dynamos particularly in the midfield and the Dynamos defense was put to the test. Sam Bruce equalised to put the Dynamos back in the game but the Dynamos conceded another goal mainly due to a defensive error. They were able to get back in the game again after an own goal from the home team. The Dynamos sealed another win in the second game through a great goal from Ethan Gamble.

The Dynamos great passing and determined play paid off today in both games. In preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will continue to focus the need to get back

and defend when required and continue to work on fitness levels.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Owen Goff who had an excellent game today and scored his first goal for the Dynamos.

Special Mention to Edward Dodds for another solid and determined defensive performance and for never giving up.

Special Mention to Isaac Adnitt for some excellent saves today and not being afraid to come out against some strong attacking play.

GOAL SCORERS:         1ST GAME -

                                    2ND GAME - SAM BRUCE (4), BEN GILLYON (2)

The Dynamos played well today, with a flurry of goals in the second game. They played confidently and worked well together as a team.

1st Game:

The Dynamos started off well, passing the ball well, maintaining their positions and pushing the other team hard from the outset. Both teams came very close to scoring

several times. Owen Goff on the right wing was particularly influential and worked well together with Sam Bruce up front. There were several shots at goal from

Owen Goff, Sam Bruce and Ethan Gamble but they were not able to score. East Riding Rangers had several opportunities too but the Dynamos were able to contain them by

some great defensive play, particularly by Edward Dodds and a couple of great saves from Isaac Adnitt, again anticipating and coming out to clear balls.

2nd Game:

With little change to the team in the second game, the Dynamos continued to play well and was the stronger team. They scored the first five goals within the space of

five minutes in the first half. There was good teamwork in the midfield which enabled the goal scoring opportunities and Thomas Richardson gave a much improved

performance today.

The Dynamos hard work paid off today particularly in the second game. In preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will continue to focus on and consolidate their

efforts in playing with confidence and being aware that they need to get back and defend when required.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Sam Bruce who played well throughout today's game and scored four great goals to give the Dynamos best goal tally in one game this season.

Special Mention to Edward Dodds for solid and determined defensive play and for never giving up.

Special Mention to Ben Gillyon who worked hard througout the game and for scoring two great goals.

GOAL SCORERS:   1ST GAME -

                                    2ND GAME -

The Dynamos had another great game today where as a team they played some excellent football, fighting hard for the ball, defending well and pushing the other team all

the time. The scores do not fully reflect how well they played, particularly in the first game where they were by far the stronger team.

1st Game:

The Dynamos started off well, passing the ball well, maintaining their positions and pushing the other team hard from the outset. They came very close to scoring on a

number of occassions. Owen Goff on the right wing was particularly influential and some excellent corners from Ethan Gamble gave some opportunities for the Dynamos to

score but they couldn't quite make it to the back of the net. Sam Bruce in centre midfield played solidly and both Ben McNamara and Edward Chappell were particularly

strong in defence. Isaac Adnitt made some great saves, on a number occasions coming out of the box to clear the ball. A great strike from Cottingham Rangers late on in

the second game denied the Dynamos a draw.

2nd Game:

With some changes to the team in the second game, the Dynamos struggled a bit to get back in the game. Joshua Moore fought hard to against some stiff opposition and

played with determination and Edward Dodds defended valiantly all the way through. Cottingham Rangers was the stronger team and were able to score 3 goals due to some

defensive errors by the Dynamos and some good shots at goal from their striker.

The Dynamos hard work was not rewarded with any goals today but they should be proud of the way they played and for never giving up the fight throughout the game. In

preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will continue to focus on and consolidate their efforts in playing with confidence, shooting and passing the ball.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Edward Chappell who played exceptionally well in defence today and showed what a strong and reliable player he is.

Special Mention to Ben McNamara for yet another strong, solid and determined performance today.

Special Mention to Owen Goff for his strong, determined and versatile play today including a number of shots at goal that did not quite make it to the back of the net.

2ND GAME - BEN MCNAMARA, BEN GILLYON, ETHAN GAMBLE

The Dynamos continued to play some great, well organised football today against an improved Springhead FC, who the Dynamos had previously played last season.

1st Game:

Both teams played strongly in the first game with good attack and defence from both sides. The Dynamos displayed great teamwork particularly when under attack by running

back to defend with determination. Ethan Gamble, Ben Gillyon and Owen Goff played well up front, Edward Dodds and Ben McNamara defended strongly and Sam Bruce worked

hard in the midfield. Both sides had some opportunities and although there were several shots at goal, the Dynamos were unable to score. Isaac Adnitt in the Dynamos

goal ensured that Springhead FC did not get the ball past him by making some great saves.

2nd Game:

The Dynamos continued to play strongly in the second game with all players maintaining positions, passing well and playing with determination and more confidence. Ben

McNamara scored the first goal through a strong strike from outside the box that he managed to get through the keepers feet! Ben Gillyon was quick to follow with the

second goal which was scored through a penalty after being brought down in the box. Springhead FC came back strongly again to score their first goal and started to

pose some danger. A great pass from Joshua Moore to Ethan Gamble, just past the half way line, which he took on to score the third goal sealed the Dynamos first win of

the season.

The Dynamos hard work today was rewarded with a good score that refelcted their efforts. In preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will continue to focus on and

consolidate their efforts in passing, teamwork and playing with confidence.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Ethan Gamble for his improved consistant performance today and for his great last goal that sealed a solid win for the Dynamos.

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 0 Long Riston FC 1 (Ist game)

Beverley Whitestar Dynamos 1 Long Riston FC 2 (2nd game)

MAN OF THE MATCH: BEN MCNAMARA

SPECIAL MENTION: OWEN GOFF, SAM BRUCE

GOAL SCORERS: 1ST GAME -

                            2ND GAME - BEN GILLYON

The Dynamos played some excellent football in their first game of the season, at their home ground, against a very challenging Long Riston FC.

1st Game:

The first game was very even with the Dynamos playing a good well organised passing game with Ben Gillyon, Sam Bruce and Owen Goff in control in midfield. Long Riston's

more direct football got them a goal against the run of play after we suffered a defensive mix up. This was otherwise a superb defensive display with Thomas Newton

pulling off some fine saves and Ben McNamara having an outstanding game with some very strong tackles. Despite more pressure and good play from a number of players, the

Dynamos failed to score and went down 1-0.

2nd Game:

The second game saw the Dynamos keep posession well at times but they struggled to create a clear scoring chance until a handball gave Ben Gillyon the chance to take a

penalty, which he drove into the top corner to score the first goal. Long Riston came back at us with determination and speed. We struggled to get back and defend and

conceeded two excellent strikes from long range. Dynamos showed great spirit in the last few minutes to put Long Riston under pressure with Sam Bruce, Ben McNamara and

Owen Goff combining well in midfield. Unfortunately we could not break down the opposition defence and lost 2-1.

The scores do not fully reflect how well the Dynamos played today. In preparation for the next game, the Dynamos will focus on their pace, passing and confidence.

Well Played and Well Done, Dynamos.

Man of the Match to Ben McNamara for his excellent performance today at all times whilst he was on the pitch.

Special Mention to Owen Goff who worked hard today and played with determination in the midfield.

Special Mention to Sam Bruce who played some very skilfull and thoughtful football.
